Unlike our name suggests, it’s not just jabs, hooks & uppercuts here at The Boxing Room. Check out the full scope of what we offer below.

And remember, our classes are for all fitness levels. If you have specific weaknesses and need program modifications, or want to push yourself a little bit harder, our trainers are always happy to provide alternative exercises.

 

Boxing

Boxing Fitness

Every day, various times

This one has all the bells and whistles. Boxing combos, kicks, bodyweight and core work, plus a range of other gym equipment all neatly wrapped into a 45 minute session. The perfect class to increase your fitness or kickstart your weight loss goal.

BOX

Every day, various times

If you’ve had a rough day, a 45 minute BOX session is the perfect remedy. This class is all about those punching combos. No kicks or other equipment, just you and the bag. Great for those of you with lower body injuries or who are just starting out on your fitness journey.

Pad Work

Fri, evening

In this session you will be working with a partner whilst learning to hold the pads and catch punches. This class is great for helping to improve your boxing technique and accuracy while providing you with an awesome workout.


Fight training & Sparring

6 Week Boxing Training Camp

This 6 week intensive training camp is designed for anyone looking to step up their training or participate in advanced drills and sparring.

Fighters Class*

A 45 minute advanced class for members who are keen to improve their boxing technique and progress into partner drills and sparring sessions.

Mouth guards and head gear must be worn for these sessions.

*Completion of our 6 week Fight Camp is mandatory before participation in this class is possible.

This is your chance to practice what you’ve learnt in our Fighters class in a controlled sparring environment.

Conditioning

HIIT

Mon & Wed, evenings
Sat, morning

A 30 minute workout where you’ll be pushed to your absolute limit with short bursts of intense bodyweight movements, alternated with shorter recovery periods. If you’re short for time, a HIIT session guarantees maximum results in minimum time.

Kettlebell

Mon & Wed, evenings
Sat, morning

Ever wondered what those weird looking weights with handles are used for? In this 30 minute class you’ll be using nothing but kettlebells to perform a range of ballistic exercises. A combination of cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training that is sure to put you through your paces.

Pilates

Mon & Wed, evenings
Tue, Thu & Sat, mornings

This class is going to work muscles you didn’t know existed. Pilates is 45 minutes of low-impact exercises that aim to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility.


Strength

Strength & Conditioning

Mon – Sat, various times

A 45–60 minute program that can be done at your own pace. Each session incorporates a variety of free-weights and gym equipment, with a focus on resistance training and conditioning that is tailored to your individual strengths and weaknesses.

This class is a must for anyone looking to strengthen and tone their body.


Personal Training

If you’re just starting out on your fitness journey, our trainers can help you to identify and achieve your fitness goals, ensure that you perform all exercises safely and correctly as well as helping to keep you accountable.

Newbies aren’t the only ones who can benefit from a personal trainer. Sometimes, even the most dedicated gym-goers can plateau. It’s easy to lose motivation when you’re no longer seeing the improvements you’re used to. Some sessions with one of our trainers can help get you back on track with a new mindset, pushing you to your limits so you can start seeing results once again.

All of our trainers have their own style and specialties, so if you have a particular goal in mind, contact us and we can help match you to the right person.


Special events

Occasionaly we run 6 – 8 week bootcamps during the lead up to events such as True Grit or City to Bay. Our next bootcamp starts on 27th March for the May True Grit. Click here to find out more.
